Teaching spaces

A BingBangBong garden may also be installed as a teaching space rather than / as well as an experiential space. This is a very specific focus and is normally only by request from a client with specific needs. Once we are agreed that a teaching space is what is desired then B3 can bring a significant experience-based approach to such a design.

Consideration will be given to

  • Class sizes
  • Space Layout
    • Instrument clusters
    • Discrete spaces
    • Teachers' stations
  • Instrument flexibility
  • Instrument mobility
  • Harmonising of instruments within a space (Nursery / KS1&2) if pentatonic
  • Orff-able instruments
  • Covering the main concepts of a sound musical foundation,
    • Pitch
    • Pulse/rhythm
    • Music literacy
    • Composition
    • Texture & timbre
    • Improvisation
    • Co-ordination

You may wish to investigate the construction of such a teaching space in conjunction with the music advisors of the Education Authority, I am happy to liaise with officials and advisors and to work with them to ensure that you receive the most appropriate installation for your client group.
